“Begin each day by granting yourself and others forgiveness, and experience the beauty of a heart that’s happy and healed versus one that’s filled with bitterness and resentment.” ~ Nikki Karis

Inspiring message to empower you to exercise forgiveness, as it’s a powerful tool to heal your heart and gain compassion, most especially, but also to heal the mind, body, soul, and spirit and bring about a sense of well-being. It’s something that each of us should practice on a daily basis in order to reap the greatest rewards and benefits.

It’s not only about forgiving those who have committed trespasses against us; it’s all about forgiving ourselves for all the things we wished we hadn’t said or done, or for the things we wished we had said or done but didn’t get around to doing.

If we go about life wearing a heart that’s filled with bitterness, anger, hatred, or resentment, we shut ourselves off from truly living and from allowing love to enter into your heart. Eventually, over time, our well-being suffers, as negative emotions only tend to drag a person down physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.  It also wears on our exterior, often adding years to our appearance, as we look bitter and angry when we hold onto toxic patterns and emotions.

If we exercise forgiveness, we don’t have to allow the trespassers back into our life. We don’t even have to speak or meet with them personally, as we can forgive someone in our heart and wish them well on their journey. But in forgiving others, we liberate ourselves from negativity, allowing positivity to flow freely into our lives.

Remember, everything we experience in life is a valuable life lesson in disguise. If someone has hurt us, we should exercise forgiveness toward them and thank them for being a catalyst in our spiritual growth. The more we practice the art of forgiveness, the better we become at it, and the more we reap its glorious rewards and benefits.
